He has been the initiator and principal investigator in many research projects, among others research on the outsourcing of knowledge-intensive business services by entities of the meetings industry in Krakow (project financed by the National Science Center). Head of an expert team examining the meetings industry in Krakow in 2009-2020 and head of the Polish scientific team responsible for evaluation the economic impact of the meetings industry on the economy of Krakow.
Publications
Professor Borodako is an author or co-author of over 130 publications (including five books) concerning innovation, business services, tourism, new technologies, event management, foresight (strategic planning).
He published his works in SAGE Open, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Tourism & Management Studies, International Journal of Tourism Research, Prague Economic Papers, and Tourism Economics. He reviews manuscripts for journals on the JCR list (among others Service Industries Journal, Foresight, International Journal of Tourism Research, Current Issues in Tourism, Sustainability, Tourism Management, and Cities).
